Treated steel won't rust because of scratching because of the meager layer of chromium making an imperceptible defensive layer. This dainty layer will reconstruct itself within the sight of oxygen. Note: If you are not in an oxygen rich climate the material will take more time to remake or not reconstruct by any means. This will leave it open to conceivable erosion.
