
Fisher and Beedle (1966), analyzed the current writing on the subject of shot and bolted joints up to that year and summed up a few examinations contrasting bolts and bolts and featured the higher weakness strength of bolts in contrast with that of bolts. This is inferable from the way that bolts are preloaded while bolts are not. These investigations were joined by proposals on fixing methods for bolts to guarantee appropriate preload and to oppose slip.
